About YWC

The Yukon Women’s Coalition is a collaboration of 11 women-led and feminist, not-for-profit organizations

Each member organization provides a host of direct services to the public, or does research and advocacy work – largely focused on addressing and ending gender-based violence in the Yukon.

Together, we strive to:

Provide a vehicle for collective action in pursuit of gender-based justice and  equity for women.

Represent the voices of women within systems of oppression and campaign for change.

Be responsive to emerging community needs and issues.

Support and respect the work of each member organization.

Have the pulse of the women’s sector regionally, nationally, and internationally.

In Whitehorse, the day has grown into a multi-day community gathering, with opportunities to come together in remembrance, reflection, and solidarity.
