Sisters in Spirit Walk & Vigil to take place on Fri. Oct. 3rd!

Yukon Aboriginal Women's Circle releases event details and poster for this year's Sister in Spirit campaign. Join the walk and vigil to show support and highlight the ongoing issue of violence against Indigenous women, girls and gender-diverse peoples in the Yukon and Northern BC.

This year's walk will take place in Whitehorse on Fri. Oct. 3rd. The public is invited to gather between 11:45AM to Noon at the RCMP detachment. After brief remarks, the walk will begin and the route is: down Main St. to River Front Street, then turn right along river to Rotary Peace Park, and the MMIWG2S+ Monument for a few closing remarks.  A 'grab and go' lunch is provided by YAWC at the end of the walk and vigil.
